We all like the electric fireplace with heat, you don’t have to clean out all the ash say from a traditional fireplace.
But what about the traditional electrical fireplaces?
Well…
Some of the old designs can be better than the new ones.

So this is a new traditional series by modern flames so this is the new traditional style series now what do I mean when I say traditional…
A couple of things…
One we all like the very traditional sort of homey featured logs the other thing is the traditional fireboxes have really tall viewing areas so for example:
So for the electric fireplace with heat, we are going to go through the two different series features.
The Redstone Model
Now, this is going to be their good model it’s going to be more of a price point model, and then there is the Sedona model which has some upgrades so let’s start.
With this one and I will go through the features that this one gets and then we’ll talk about some of the upgrades you get with the Sedona Mir series.
If you wanted to upgrade there so what’s really good about this one is a lot of things.
One, you have multi-colour control so I will just go through the controls here before I go through any of the flame features.
One of the things that stand out more than anything is our backlit logs.
So the logs actually glow which is a feature you don’t always get with traditional fireplaces.
A couple of things with that one you don’t have to install them with logs so if you are not a big fan of the way these look you can just do it really contemporary with just a crushed glass ember bed if you want.
Typically though with these taller fireboxes, I think the logs look good because they sort of fill up the space a little bit more and then when they glow they just look all the more real so that’s a really cool feature.
So let’s start with some options, so you can see the first thing you can control is the ember bed.
This is just like their spectrum series by the way which is their linear price point model.
This is a really good model with basically the same features as that in a traditional box so, with the ember bed lighting, you can toggle through all of the 11 colours.
You are going for a traditional feel like red or orange so it kind of looks like burning embers
This is kind of unique to modern flames this sort of greyed-out colour is actually really popular I don’t know if it goes with necessarily the orange logs so you could turn the logs off if you wanted to.
But that is really popular in the Spectrum series.
And with the spectrum, you can actually control the speed of the flame.
So there’s a medium and a really fast flame height and then four men that’s really fast what do you think a little fast there’s the slowest that’s a little slow it looks a little lazy it’s two.
I think one of the things that’s going to two things that are really going to make this stand out compared to competitors is one the most unique thing is going to be the way that these logs glow and the realistic look that they have in their mouldings.
And then the fact that the flame can reach the top of the firebox because that’s some of the problems you have with traditional fireboxes is the flame.
And then of course you have all the fun little cosmetic features as well, it does have a heater in it as well which you can control on the remote or the control panel.
Sedona
Let’s talk about some of the upgrades you get with this electric heater.
It can be installed in an open corner unit so this unit is going to give us several different install options that this isn’t going to do.
This Sedona has a window that is much bigger and comes in an assortment of sizes.
But also the frame is a much clean face design so it does not have quite a nice clean face design this is almost frameless so it does not have any frame on it as well.
l so you are getting a bigger viewing area, a lot like the landscape pro series
Essentially you can get full app control and Wi-Fi control so we can control on Google Alexa things as well.
Yes…
Alexa does work with the electric fireplace with heat these days.
And then you have a full-colour wheel as well so you can change the colour of everything together or control just flame height a lot like the spectrum or the Redstone.
You can even control the ember bed so just change that colour.
The logs light up just like the Redstone so again you are getting that traditional feel and if you are not crazy about the logs you just do not have to have them.
The dark blue colour is nice, so those are the upgrades you get, the remotes are definitely a little more fun to play with more colours and a clean face design.
So they are really the upgrades with the Sedona and a great product.
This is more of a starting point and it is definitely going to be more price-conscious and a little more budget-friendly.
And then you can always upgrade if you wanted to and again the same thing that we saw with the Redstone is you are getting that really nice tall flame height.
With these taller fireboxes a lot of the time you can have problems filling the firebox up, yet with this one, you do not have a problem with so I really like it.
I think for traditional units they really sort of hit the nail on the head and you know there is not nearly as much on the traditional side as there is on the linear long rectangle series.
So it is nice to see some new products come in that traditional style that is going to give us more options so again this is the traditional fireboxes by modern flames
Traditional electric fireplace with heat all in one package, there is something o be said about traditional electric fire heaters.
I think you should also consider them when you go and buy a new one.
